Great article! Writer's block is a pain, but recently, more than writer's block, what is keeping me from writing meaningful things is the distractions that have come up in the form of platforms/social media/sites, where we can showcase our work and then have to kind of put it out in different ways for more exposure.

This kind of 'marketing/promotional' work simply takes away all the energy and time from actual writing. Eventually there is satisfaction when you get more readers and exposure, but it distracts from the actual writing process.
